Keyhole Inn at Wilson Boulevard and North Hudson Street
Cherrydale, c. 1920
When I see bungalows like these, I always wonder if this is how Arlington looked in the 1920s
One of the last two Old Arlington-looking houses in Rosslyn along Arlington Boulevard. Boarded up.
The other of the last two Old Arlington-looking houses in Rosslyn along Arlington Boulevard. Still in use!
The old Motel 50 is still hanging in there as apartments, but it is dwarfed by the new high rises around it.
This American Legion Post 85 Gen. Billy Mitchell always makes me wonder what the neighborhood looked like before the high rises.
I was stationed in Va. from 1985-88. I loved going to the Keyhole Inn. I found out about the place from a NJ girl who work at Whities at the time. Vicky was the bar tender and she always treated our group like we were family. They had a cook who was in the Navy at one time, I think. He made the best pork chops. Sitting on the deck eating crabs and shrimp in the rough.
